This document will help one turn a simple C program that displays Hello world! into an operating system. The steps mentioned here rebuilds the linux kernel to achieve this. The terminal snippets provided in this post were tested on Ubuntu 16.04. Also note that this method builds a linux image aimed for the device it was created on. This document touches on several topics of linux architecure and is a fun play-around with linux that helps sharpen system management skills.

This post will help one create a multi-endpoint web server from scratch in Ubuntu 18.04 using Nginx, pm2, ExpressJS. Three different web implementations (namely a website, database endpoint and API gateway) are addressed in this document. One can scale this configuration to support more than 3 web implementations only limited by hardware and/or maintainence. Remember that domain configurations are outside the scope of this document and require setting up your domains from the domain registrar. All the terminal codes provided were run in a Digital Ocean virtual server running Ubuntu 18.04. Starting tinkering with a minimalistic web server system in a fresh linux (preferably Ubuntu) install.
